The Bank of Japan should abolish its self-imposed limit in buying long-term government bonds :mumble:

The central bank keeps its government bond holdings below the amount of bank notes in circulation to assure investors it isn’t financing Japan’s record public debt. Bank notes have stayed at about 77 trillion yen since 2007, while bonds on the BOJ’s balance sheet have climbed to 57.2 trillion yen, according to the bank’s website

The Bank of Japan on Aug. 30 expanded a bank lending program by 10 trillion yen to 30 trillion yen
