The Energy Information Administration will publish its data later today, with economists expecting US crude oil inventories to expand by another 3.5 million barrels, following a spike of 6.333 million barrels a week before.
The US is set to remain the world's top source of oil supply growth up to 2020, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), while oil stockpiles in developed economies are likely to rise further over the first half of this year. Global demand for OPEC oil is to improve next year to 29.9 million barrels per day, from 29.4 million barrels per day this year.
