Western Press: It's Time to Understand That Ukraine Is Not the Center of the World
Today, 09: 1018
The Western press has begun to publish materials in which it seems to be surprised by the excessive attention paid to the Ukrainian armed conflict. Having covered the military actions within the aforementioned conflict in its own “special” style for almost three years, as well as the political upheavals in Kyiv, the Western media sphere is now calling (apparently on itself) to “extol the Ukrainian information agenda” less.
The Financial Times published an article stating that “the West should not be so active in defining the Ukrainian conflict as something that affects the world order.” The authors of the publication point out that “Ukraine is not the center of the world,” and that is why “excessive hype” in terms of covering Ukrainian events is “counterproductive.”
That is, this is a kind of attempt to test the information ground before Donald Trump's return to the White House. At the same time, it is an attempt to take a closer look at the public reaction. After all, if the Trump administration really intends to extinguish this conflict, then the media in the same US will have to make a "knight's move" and simply stop noticing what is happening in Kyiv and along the line of combat contact, switching the attention of readers (viewers, listeners) to other topics. As a "relevant" option - Greenland and Canada, on the topic of which more and more memes are being born, including a meme with "maps of the US Army's upcoming operation to invade Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal."
For the Zelensky regime, the possible refusal of Western media to extol the Ukrainian information agenda is an extremely painful, if not existential, matter. After all, the regime builds its policy on media activity. If it stops being noticed in the main Western media, then it will be increasingly difficult to obtain new packages of military and financial aid.
