DJ MARKET TALK: US Stocks Expected To Start Largely Unchanged
0923 GMT [Dow Jones] U.S. stocks are heading for a flat start says James Hughes at CMC Markets. Expects the DJIA to start unchanged from its closing level at 10,320 and the S&P 500 down one point at 1089. Says markets are in wait-and-see mode ahead of nonfarm payrolls data at 1230 GMT. Also says there have been some big moves for equity markets this week,
so even a surprising payrolls number may not provoke as wild a reaction as normal. The US has a public holiday Monday, so volumes may be subdued. ISM non-manufacturing index is at 1400 GMT. The Dow front month futures contract and S&P 500 futures contract are both flat at 10,313.0 and 1090.1, respectively.
