Nel dettaglio, nel terzo trimestre, conclusosi a fine settembre, Google (NASDAQ: GOOG - notizie) ha registrato un utile di 1,35 miliardi di dollari, in aumento del 26% rispetto agli 1,07 miliardi conseguiti nello stesso periodo dello scorso anno. Il risultato per azione è stato di 4,24 dollari, ma escludendo i costi legati all'esercizio delle stock option e altre voci straordinarie, il dato sale a 4,92 dollari, superando le stime degli analisti che puntavano ad un eps pari a 4,74 dollari.
Il fatturato è cresciuto del 31% a 5,54 miliardi di dollari, ma al netto di pagamenti effettuati agli altri siti per acquisire traffico internet, il giro di affari si attesta a 4,04 miliardi, esattamente in linea con le previsioni della comunità finanziaria.
Nell'ambito di un documento presentato prima della conference call di oggi, il CFO del gruppo, Eric Schmidt, ha fatto sapere che la performance del terzo trimestre è stata resa possibile grazie in particolare alla crescita dei ricavi in tutte le aree geografiche in cui Google è attivo.
Molto positiva la reazione del mercato che ha mostrato di aver gradito i risultati del terzo trimestre, premiando il titolo con ulteriori acquisti. Google infatti, dopo aver archiviato la sessione diurna in rialzo del 4,08% a 353,02 punti, riesce a fare ancora meglio nel segmento after-hours, dove passa di mano a 379,2 dollari, con un rally del 7,42%.
