Fitch Affirms Poland at 'A-'; Outlook Stable

Fitch Ratings-Frankfurt/London-12 October 2018: Fitch Ratings has affirmed Poland's Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'A-' with a Stable Outlook.

OVERVIEW

  • Since 2015, the Polish economy has posted strong, balanced growth and
    better-than-projected budgetary outcomes.
  • In addition, Poland's public and external debt continues to decline as a
    percentage of GDP.
  • As a consequence, we are raising our long-term foreign currency rating on
    Poland to 'A-' from 'BBB+' and our long-term local currency rating to 'A'
    from 'A-'.
  • The outlook is stable.
