The Irish government will publish the results of its bank "stress tests" on

12.25 GMT (08.25 ET): Bank stocks across Europe are sliding across the board ahead of the announcement of stress test results. The European banking sector as a whole is now down 1.68 percent at 200.27. Meanwhile, in France, the three biggest decliners among blue chips are all banks:
Societe Generale is down 2.64 per centat 46.22 euros,
Credit Agricole is down 2.66 percent at 11.69 euros and
BNP Paribas is down 1.99 percent at 52.24 euros.
In Germany
Commerzbank is down 1.26 percent at 5.47 euros, while
Deutsche Bank is down 0.54 percent at 41.72 euros.
