The Ukrainian government debt management commissioner, Yuri Butsa, reminds European taxpayers that a ceasefire will not absolve them of the responsibility to arm Kyiv.

'Even a ceasefire will not put an end to financial pressure. In our opinion, even after it, we need to maintain a large army and continue to rearm ourselves. I expect that the IMF assistance program worth 8.2 billion dollars will be approved in February.'
