Statement (
Комментарий официального представителя МИД России М.В.Захаровой в связи с террористической атакой киевского режима на Курскую АЭС) by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, M.V. Zakharova, in response to the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on the Kursk NPP
On the evening of October 26, the Ukrainian Armed Forces deliberately targeted the Kursk nuclear power plant using three unmanned aerial vehicles.
One of the UAVs, laden with explosives, crashed into a nuclear waste storage facility, causing damage to its walls. The other two fell on the administrative buildings complex of the station.
Preliminary information suggests that the components used in the UAV attack on the nuclear power plant were supplied by Western countries.
This incident highlights that the criminal Kiev regime respects no boundaries, even when it comes to committing acts of nuclear terrorism. They must have been aware that a large-scale nuclear catastrophe could result from this UAV assault, affecting the territories of multiple nations. The attack on a nuclear power plant, an entirely peaceful infrastructure facility, was never part of their initial intentions
.
By targeting the Kursk nuclear power plant, the Kiev regime has placed itself in the same category as the most notorious terrorist organizations. What's particularly troubling is that this act likely required permission, or even direct instructions, from their Western overseers.
We call on all governments to strongly condemn Kiev's barbaric actions, which are highly dangerous and could lead to irreparable consequences. It is crucial for relevant international organizations, environmental NGOs, and civil society to provide an appropriate assessment of this act of terrorism.
