Bug in Win7 CHKDSK Utility?

But now, analysts are throwing up warnings that a major bug in Windows 7 has been revealed -- one so serious it could even delay the launch of the new OS.

The bug is a biggie, a "massive memory leak" contained in the CHKDSK utility, which is used to verify the consistency and integrity of hard drives. Apparently, if CHKDSK is run against a secondary hard drive with a certain setting turned on, it causes Windows to gobble up all available memory, slowing the computer to an unusable crawl and potentially, eventually crashing the machine. Independent testers have verified the problem under a variety of scenarios, noting even that if the CHKDSK operation is canceled, the problem continues to get worse until the machine is rebooted.

Tolte di gran carriera, messo un browser vecchio e ciccia.

E non sto' a dirti quanto e' calata la privacy... roba scandalosa.

Sarebbe interessante sapere su quale buil si presenta il problema. Sulla build 7100 RC mi capitava sulla Build RTM 7600.16385 mai capitato.

Qui ci sono ulteriori chiarimenti.. Potrebbe anche dipendere in parte dall'hardware ma appare alquantto diffuso

Diciamo Che Windows 7 ha appena concluso gli studi clinici e ora e' in attesa di approvazione dall'EMEA Non e' ancora sul mercato ma lo sara' a breve.

Senza alcun dubbio Lei si sta' riferendo a quella ciofeca di Explorer 8

certo che segnalare bug su una versione non Final Release di Win7 come fossero delle panacee IMHO mi sembra proprio una barzelletta

come se fosse uscita in rete una notizia ( non notizia) dove Osx 10.6 Snow aveva bug prima del suo lancio finale al Retail in Final Release

nn capiro' mai queste news cosa vogliono dar a vedere

Infatti ho solo riportato la notizia senza troppo peso. Sono sicuro che se di problema si tratta, sara' patchato a breve...almeno lo spero per MS
