Italian Finance Minister Giovanni Tria has said that you can accept a deficit of 1.5 percent of GDP in 2019.
It writes the newspaper La Stampa, according to Bloomberg News.
The Minister of Finance has previously said that lower growth than expected meant that the deficit was 1.2 percent next year.
Increased expenses would be to fund the first steps towards a tax reform, citizenship pay and lower retirement age, reports the newspaper.
