Grecia, Austria pronta ad aiuto se Atene rispetta target deficitReuters - 16/11/2010 17:44:26BRUXELLES, 16 novembre (Reuters) - Vienna darà il proprio contributo al pacchetto di aiuti finanziari devoluti alla Grecia a condizione che Atene rispetti gli impegni per la correzione dei conti pubblici.
Lo dice il ministro delle Finanze Josef Proell all'ingresso dei lavori dell'Eurogruppo, mentre da Vienna un portavoce del dicastero tiene a precisare che l'Austria non punta a bloccare il pacchetto.
"Se la Grecia non rispetta alcune condizioni ne dobbiamo discutere, siamo comunque pronti a pagare la nostra parte se i numeri saranno quelli giusti" spiega.
"L'obbligo non vale soltanto per noi quanto a pagare ma anche per loro per quanto riguarda il consolidamento: la Grecia è decisamente sulla strada giusta ma le resta ancora da fare" aggiunge.
Il ministro si augura poi che dal caso greco l'Unione europea abbia tratto una lezione da applicare ora a quello irlandese.
"Dovremmo reagire meglio e più in fretta di quanto abbiamo fatto con la Grecia" conclude.
Da Vienna il portavoce del ministero Daniel Kapp interviene per mettere in chiaro che l'Austria non sta cercando di bloccare gli aiuti destinati ad Atene dopo le indiscrezioni di un'agenzia stampa locale secondo cui il contributo austriaco al pacchetto greco non sarebbe ancora arrivato.
"L'Austria si aspetta che la Grecia prosegua nel cammino delle riforme come concordato: dire Vienna intenda bloccare gli aiuti sarebbe fraintendere" spiega.
