Greece sells 1.625 bln eur 6-month T-bills at 4.96 pct

ATHENS, June 14 (Reuters) - Greece's Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA) sold 1.625 billion euros ($2.33 billion) of 6-month T-bills on Tuesday, with the yield rising by 8 basis points compared to the previous auction, in May.
The sale had a bid-cover ratio of 2.58, down from 3.58 in the previous auction.
Greece paid a yield of 4.96 percent, up from 4.88 percent in the May 10 auction, the debt agency (PDMA) said.
Foreigners bought 37 percent of the issue, PDMA chief Petros Christodoulou told Reuters.
