Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. launched its first bond offering in two years as the world’s fourth-biggest iron ore exporter seeks to repay about $4 billion of net debt. The Australian company is offering $1 billion of senior unsecured notes due 2024, Fortescue said Tuesday in a statement. It has more than halved net debt since 2012. In March, the company cut the outstanding balance on its 2019 term loan to $976 million, while Chief Executive Officer Nev Power said last week he will continue to prioritize debt repayments. Fortescue cut net borrowings to about $4 billion at the end of December from a peak of $10.7 billion four years earlier, part of a wider drive to reduce costs and protect margins. A previous repayment of the 2019 term loan will generate an annual saving on interest payments of $38 million, Fortescue said in March. Fortescue could target early repayment of $478 million of April 2022 notes and has also weighed options for $2.16 billion of 9.75% secured 2022 notes that it considers to be expensive debt, Chief Financial Officer Elizabeth Gaines said in an interview last month.

e la carta si rigenera in continuazione, non trovo però notizie che il nuovo prestito sia stato effettivamente sottoscritto, sarà per questo che è a sconto la 2017.
ho trovato questo contratto dal quale parrebbe che il prestito è stato sottoscritto da Nrg Energy, cose in famiglia pare, tutto da verificare,
