Cell Therapeutics: Xyotax in uno studio fase II prolunga sopravvivenza
Cell Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CTIC - notizie) ha comunicato che uno studio di fase II sullo Xyotax nel trattamento del tumore polmonare non microcitoma avanzato ha dimostrato un prolungamento della sopravvivenza nelle donne. Lo annuncia l'azienda biofarmaceutica in una nota. In questo studio le 35 donne che hanno ricevuto Xyotax e carboplatino hanno evidenziato una probabilità del 36% di vivere almeno un anno in confronto al solo 16% dei 39 uomini che avevano ricevuto lo stesso trattamento. Cell Therapeutics aveva riportato in precedenza che, secondo un'analisi combinata dei risultati degli studi Stellas 3 e 4, le donne trattate con Xyotax sopravvivevano in maniera significativamente più lunga rispetto alle donne del braccio di controllo di questi studi trattate con una terapia chemioterapica standard.
