Star Bulk Carriers is well positioned to take advantage of an improving outlook in dry
bulk shipping with 70 vessels and more on the way.
This "baby bond" carries some risk for conservative investors looking for more
income, but would be senior to common stock in the event of bankruptcy.

L'importante è capire quello che si fà.
In una condizione finanziaria resa perfetta dalla liquidità del sistema una pref investiment grade rende a malapena un 5%. Qui siamo al 8.30%: società di trasporti marittimi con 70 navi. E' un senior breve e per restituirlo la società, se ci riesce, dovrà rifinanziarsi tra non molto. Alla prima burrasca finanziaria seria, speriamo che arrivi il più tardi possibile, è un attimo che la sua quotazione passi da 25 a 20 o 10 e il rifinanziamento chissà .......
Quindi se proprio si vuole prendere maneggiare con molta cura.

Scorpio Bulkers (NYSE:SALT) announces that it received a commitment from a leading European financial institution for a loan facility of up to $38.7M.
The company says the loan facility will be used to finance up to 60% of the market value of the three recently purchased Ultramax dry bulk vessels.
The loan facility will have a final maturity of five years from the signing date and bears interest at LIBOR plus a margin of 2.85% per year.
