Moody's says resumption of Brucutu's mine operations is credit positive for Vale

New York, April 18, 2019 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") comments that the authorization that allows Vale S.A. (Ba1 negative) to return operations at the Brucutu mine is credit positive, as it represents 30 million tons of iron ore output on an annual basis (8% of Vale's total production capacity).
The ability to maintain iron ore production levels is one of the major risks faced by Vale following the Brumadinho accident, since it affects its cash flow and ultimately its credit quality. Besides Brucutu mine, there has been additional production capacity suspended, which altogether totals 93 million tons of iron ore production, or 23% of total annual production capacity.

Brasilia, 20 apr 00:05 - (Agenzia Nova) - Il presidente del Brasile, Jair Bolsonaro, ha detto che "in teoria" inizia a considerare la possibilità di privatizzare la compagnia petrolifera statale brasiliana Petrobras. E' quanto afferma il portavoce della presidenza della Repubblica, Otavio dos Rego Barros. La precisazione del portavoce è arrivata dopo una intervista a "GloboNews" durante la quale aveva affermato di avere una "iniziale simpatia" rispetto alla possibilità di privatizzare la Petrobras. "Sì, il presidente ha commentato questa possibilità. Ovviamente questioni come questa richiedono molto dialogo e studi approfonditi in diversi campi", ha affermato Rego Barros. (segue) (Brb)
