The Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court has appointed three experts to give an advice about the value of the expropriated stocks and bonds. They are currently conducting a research on the appropriate compensation for investors. After they have finalized their report, they will present their advice to the Amsterdam Court. The report is expected to be submitted to the Enterprise Chamber before the end of 2017. The Enterprise Chamber will then make the final decision on whether and how the former SNS investors should be compensated.
In addition, the Enterprise Chamber has decided the VEB is allowed to request an investigation into possible mismanagement at SNS Reaal. The oral procedure regarding the request will take place on June 8, 2017. After this, the inquiry and potential subsequent procedures may still take a considerable amount of time. We cannot inform you further about the possibility or timing of a compensation in this element of the VEB action.
