Lira Gains on Relief Turkey Rate Cut Isn’t as Big as Some Feared

While Turkey’s interest-rate cut was bigger than some expected, lira traders rejoiced that it wasn’t as deep as feared.

The currency advanced as much as 1.5%, the most among its major peers globally, after the central bank lowered the one-week repo rate by 325 basis points, 50 basis points more than the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey. Some had speculated policy makers would slash rates much more aggressively after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested over the weekend that Turkey would lower rates into the single digits “soon.”

Turkey’s annual current-account surplus widened to highest level since January 2002 as weak consumer demand continued to curb imports.

Valuta di merda x valuta di merda buttati sullo ZAR. In Africa c'è molto fermento industriale...sembra che l'occidente quasi alla canna del gas voglia trasformare il paese in qualcosa di più remunerativo dei campi di cotone (petrolio, gas, oro, diamanti, terre rare, ecc.) da cui la gente scappa (per ovvi motivi).

Grazie del consiglio . stavo guardando i titoli lira turca ,non si spunta oltre il 10% ormai o mi sbaglio?penso che qui siamo in molti a rimanere orfani del 27,5 2019 ,se e come lo sostituite?
