Una analisi sul corn presa da un forum mmerikano:
Since there has been some comments here about corn,
I'll offer my view.
Corn weekly Chart
Corn basis weekly chart still has the opportunity to maintain it's bullish posture.
corn could be approaching important support areas here.
The 240 horizontal support area intersects an uptrend line next week.
238 is also a 75% retracement of the upmove starting last Jul '03.
Notice, the seasonal low last year was posted in mid Jul.
Jul time frame has posted important trend changes many times in the past,
sometimes hi's and sometimes lows.
A gap lower opening following a negative monday's USDA report,
then a reversal higher weekly close would be a buy signal.
Upside target may be 50% of recent break on weekly near 287-285,
Which just happens to be the hi on week 9/13,
or the gap area 268-272, basis Sep.
The longer term monthly chart remains in uptrend of higher hi's and higher lows.
the monthly is at important support here still charting July,
but by next week,Sep will come aboard as lead month, possibly allowing a little breathing room.
Low world carryover stocks vs growing demand will provide longer term underlying support to
the longer term charts.
Daily Dec:
Dec filled the gap from Jan @ 253.6 this week.
this gap was a break away gap signaling the stregnth of the resulting rally to 341.
While It may be possible to see a probe towards 240,
we should see support enter soon.
One could expect a short covering rally toward the Gap @ 276.2
to possibly 50% retracement of this down leg from wherever it stops.
Should we stop here near 250, A 50% retracement objective would mean near 295,
but more likely 285 if corresponding with the weekly.
I would expect a trading range to develop here, 250- 275 basis Dec, while the market digests
the acreage vs yield situation.
The threat of yield loss will cause risk premium to be added in,
while good growing conditions will cause the down moves.
Accumulation of March 05 contracts as a long term position trade would allow time
for the summer doldrums and/or seasonal lows to occur,
while in position to to participate in post harvest rallys, if not befor.
