Presto nuovi scioperi contro piano anticrisi

(ANSA) - ATENE, 30 GIU - La Borsa di Atene conferma a meta' giornata il forte rialzo, malgrado il preannuncio di nuovi scioperi e il calo dei depositi bancari. L'Indice Generale e' in crescita per la prima volta dopo 6 sessioni negative e segna +2,1%, tornando al di sopra della soglia dei 1450 punti. Il trend sembra ignorare il preannuncio di un nuovo sciopero generale, il sesto, contro il piano anticrisi. E le cattive notizie non finiscono qui: l'emorragia dei depositi nei primi 5 mesi del 2010 e' stata del 7,5%

Greek Bank Deposits Down in May

Business and household deposits in Greek banks declined in May for a fifth straight month, Greek central bank data showed on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
Deposits for businesses and households shaped at EUR220 bil. in May compared to EUR222.1 bil. in April, bank of Greece said.
Based on the June data, the news agency notes that deposits have dropped by a total EUR18 bil. or 7.6%, in the first five months of 2010.

I paesi europei esplorano il mercato turistico cinese

Giorni fa si è chiuso l'Expo internazionale del Turismo di Beijing 2010 (BITE 2010), della durata di 3 giorni. La mostra-mercato ha attirato espositori provenienti da oltre 80 paesi e regioni del mondo. Anche i paesi europei, fortemente colpiti dalla crisi finanziaria, hanno raggiunto Beijing per esplorare il mercato turistico cinese.
Agli occhi del pubblico cinese, la bellezza e il romanticismo del Mar Egeo sono il tema eterno della Grecia. In un'intervista a RCI, il ministro della Cultura e del Turismo della Grecia Pavlos Geroulanos ha detto che il paese tiene in gran conto il mercato turistico cinese, per cui quest'anno terrà in Cina molti scambi ed eventi turistici. Al fine di permettere a più turisti cinesi di visitare la Grecia, il paese offrirà maggiori facilitazioni ai loro visti turistici.
Con l'emergere della moda ecologica, il turismo ambientale è anche diventato un tema molto discusso. La Svizzera, che promuove la sua natura, ha deciso di afferrare quest'opportunità.
La Spagna e l'Orlanda sono anche state presenti alla fiera.

NBG Dismisses Reports On Stake Sale

Late Thursday, the Financial Times website reported that Qatar΄s sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority, was in talks to acquire a strategic stake of 5-7% of NBG.
The source said that the press reports are not reflecting reality and that the bank is not looking into expanding its capital base.
An official announcement also dismissed the report.

« In light of recent press reports and by repeating relevant public announcement made by NBG on 28.06.2010, National Bank of Greece (NBG) announces to the public that it does not intend to raise equity capital, including in particular through a share capital increase on a non-preemptive basis in favour of a new shareholder. Therefore, press reports that NBG is seeking a strategic investor are not accurate.
NBG remains focused on the maintenance and enhancement of its already strong capital base. As a result it continuously reviews opportunities to achieve such goal.
In keeping with best international practice, NBG provides regular updates to the public, its shareholders and institutional investors. In any case, NBG will inform the public accurately and in a timely fashion of any material new facts or development with respect to the above.»

Wind Hellas Will Skip Bonds, Loans Payments-Bloomberg

Wind Hellas, a Greek mobile phone operator, won’t make payments on its loans and bonds due today and July 15, Bloomberg reports citing Naguib Sawiris, the Egyptian billionaire who controls shareholder Weather Investments SpA.
It is noted that Wind had restructured its debt last year.
