Nessun paese sta attivamente perseguendo politiche per indebolire la propria divisa ed eccessive oscillazioni nei cambi potrebbero compromettere la crescita globale, lo hanno detto i principali banchieri centrali. Jean-Claude Trichet, presiedendo il dibattito sull'economia globale alla consueta riunione presso la Banca per i regolamenti internazionali, ha detto che i banchieri centrali non hanno discusso un ritorno al Gold Standard per controllare le oscillazioni delle valute, aggiungendo che è un argomento che riaffiora periodicamente negli Usa.
"(La guerra delle valute) non è stata menzionata assolutamente. Devo dire che tutti i partecipanti hanno detto che non stanno perseguendo politiche per una valuta debole" ha detto il presidente della Bce Trichet. "Non abbiamo discusso del Gold Standard" ha detto. "Per quanto ricordi, quest'idea è stata menzionata molto tempo fa da Jim Baker quando era segretario al Tesoro negli anni ottanta. Non ho particolari commenti". Il presidente della banca mondiale Robert Zoellick ha detto che le economie dovrebbero considerare di riadottare un gold standard modificato per guidare i movimenti delle divise.

China’s Yuan is between 25% and 40% lower than it should be through the use of Japan Inc.’s techniques. The two pile up US$ reserves, because they don’t convert their US dollar export earnings into Yuan or Yen. To do otherwise, would increase their currencies’ values along with the cost of their exports. It’s trade cheating, or dumping.
Now Germany has begun to hector the US too. It was only this year overtaken by China as the world’s biggest exporter and has become China’s new best friend. But China has played the German card very well: It facilitated the importation of German cars (a huge bonanza); and it has also been supporting Greece’s junk bonds so that Germany doesn’t have to and so that the Euro doesn’t collapse too much which would hurt Chinese exports in the EU.

mah... fatto sta che d'economia non sapevo nulla prima e tanto meno adesso.
Fermo restando che la Cina dovrebbe, credo, vantare attivi nella bilancia commerciale nei confronti di tutto l'occidente, c'è modo di valutare quantitativamente e comparativamente l'interscambio Cina-USA e Cina-UE?

Concordo, gli Usa saranno anche in declino, ma l'Impero Romano ha impiegato almeno duecento anni prima di implodere su se stesso ... intanto grandi cordialità con l'India in chiave anti-cinese.
Nel frattempo per venire a noi, alla Borsa di Atene è ritornato il verde ...
