Producer Price Index in Industry Rose By 5.9% In November
The Producer Price Index in Industry (PPI) in November 2010 recorded a rise of 5.9% compared with November 2009, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
The index in November 2009 had recorded an increase of 1.0% compared with November 2008.
Moreover, the PPI in November 2010 compared with October 2010 recorded a rise of 1.3%. The index in November 2009 had recorded an increase of 0.4% compared with October 2009.
The twelve-month average index, from December 2009 to November 2010, compared with the same index of the period from December 2008 to November 2009, increased by 6.5%. The previous year the twelve-month average index had decreased by 6.5%.

Prices in total industry in November 2010 increased by 1.3% compared with the previous month, October 2010, due to the monthly changes of the sub-indices of the markets:

Greek FinMin Says 9-Mth SEO Payrolls Down 15% On Year
ATHENS Dow Jones)--The Greek Finance Ministry said Wednesday that payroll costs for state controlled enterprises (SOEs) in the first nine months of 2010 fell 15% on the year to EUR812.3 million.
The debt laden Mediterranean state has promised the International Monetary Fund and the European union that it will restructure heavily indebted SOEs, among other austerity policies and structural reforms, in exchange for the EUR110 billion bailout to stave off certain default.
"According to data, the total payroll costs for the 52 SOEs for the nine months of 2010 is down 15% on the year, which is a saving of EUR143.4 million," the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry forecasts full year savings of around EUR220 million compared with 2009.
Greece has cut wages, trimmed additional benefits and reduced or completely abolished bonuses in SOEs.
In October the Ministry announced that the 11 most debt ridden SOEs generated losses of about EUR1.7 billion for 2009 because while they amassed EUR1.5 billion in total revenues, wage costs soared to EUR1.2 billion.
The average SOE workers' earnings stood at EUR40,772, almost twice the earnings of the average worker in the Greek private sector.
The Greek government has previously said it would like to restructure and privatize many of the loss making SOEs to offload their debts from state books and increase competition in several sectors, as well as create a more competitive local economy.

Oggi non c'è da scherzare neanche sui TdS italiani... se dovessi basarmi sul differenziale tra Italia e Grecia e mantenerlo costante, in teoria il 2019 dovrebbe essere quotato a 60 invece di 66 di oggi che è già sui minimi storici. Ci aiutano solo i soliti bassi volumi e che chi potrebbe vendere è impegnato altrove.
