GRECIA: PAPACONSTANTINOU, SPERO IN 2012 RITORNO SU MERCATI

(AGI) Cernobbio - La Grecia spera di tornare a emettere bond sui mercati internazionali dal 2012. Lo ha affermato il ministro delle finanze ellenico, George Papaconstantinou, in un'intervista alla Bloomberg durante il forum di Cernobbio.
"Spero che riusciremo a vendere bond nel 2012" ha affermato.
Intanto il 2010 si e' chiuso "con una recessione piu' profonda del previsto, e il deficit sara' piu' elevato delle stime" .

La revisione del PIL mi è piaciuta poco, ma ormai ...
Comunque siamo in buona compagnia: il Portogallo si era "dimenticato" di 2 MLD, l'Irlanda sappiamo come è messa ... andremo tutti a vender pesce: "abbiam tre mari e abbiamo tanto pesce che a chi lo vuole lo possiamo regalar ..."

ASE: Greek Banks Fell By 10.24% For Week



Athens market failed to put an end to a five-session downward streak, as the General Index recorded cumulative losses of 5.89% for week.

Banks’ losses for week exceeded 10%, with their index posting losses of 1.29% since January 1.

Across FTSE20, which fell by 7.18% for week, OPAP and Ellaktor stood out, gaining more than 3% on Friday.

Market sentiment remains negative following this week΄s S&P downgrade of Greece and amid an absence any positive catalysts.

Kyprou Securities noted that weak profitability hurts the ASE with a large part of it already discounted in current prices. Fiscal developments and decisions on EU level would define the ASE’s course, according to its morning report.

Pegasus Securities commented that the long-term upward course of ASE has got into a scrape, as the breaking of 1,550 consists a benchmark for many portfolios, which may limit their exposure in the domestic market.

The market could further slide to 1,480, as it cannot provide a convincing response by ending above 1,550 units, it added.

Emporiki Bank said in an analysis that the technical view has deteriorated appreciably during the week, and regardless of any short-term upward reaction from the region of 1,520 units, there is an increased likelihood of a further decline in the next 15 days to 1,480 or even 1,450 units.

"Every time the market makes a move upward, sellers emerge," a local trader told Dow Jones Newswires.

Across the board, the General Index ended at 1,526.60 units, down 0.56%, despite early gains of 0.99%. Intraday losses reached 1.17%, while 22.74 million units worth €102.16m were traded on Friday. A total amount of 94 shares declined, 57 ended in positive territory and 132 remained unchanged.

Banks ended at 1,234.85 units, down 1.67%, after a fluctuation into a margin of 3.67%. Apart from Marfin Popular Bank, which remained unchanged, all banking titles ended on negative grounds.

Borsa Atene: Ase chiude in ribasso dello 0,6%

MILANO (MF-DJ)--La Borsa di Atene chiude le contrattazioni con l'indice Ase in ribasso dello 0,6% a 1526,6 punti.
L'indice finisce in territorio negativo per la quinta seduta consecutiva, in scia al taglo del rating sovrano operato da S&P.
National Bank chiude in calo dell'1,8%, Ppc del 2,5% e Ote del 2,2%.
In territorio positivo Opap a +3,2%.
