China National Tobacco Interested in Greece’s Sekap, ANA Says

China National Tobacco Corp., the world’s biggest cigarette maker, may invest in the Greek Cooperative Cigarette Manufacturing Co., known as Sekap, ANA reported.
The Chinese company may secure a commercial agreement with Sekap and as well as invest in the company, the state-run news agency said, citing Sekap chairman Dimitris Pratsos in an interview.
Sekap is a unit of Agricultural Bank of Greece (ATE) SA, which wants to sell subsidiaries that are unrelated to banking.

State Revenues Plunged In May



State revenues recorded a 10% reduction in May, although gross income (before tax refunds) increased marginally, as the dramatic increase of tax refunds resulted in the collapse of net revenues.

According to reliable Finance Ministry sources, the Treasury raised approximately €4.3b in May, €50b more than May 2010. But, tax refunds amounted to €800m from €500m in May 2010. Tax refunds for the Jan-May period amount to €2.5b, while estimates for the whole year were €3.8b.

The huge shortfall in tax revenue was caused by the increase of additional measures from €3b to €6.4 in 2011. Ministry officials stress that:

-So far, the measure of notices of receipt has dramatically increases the amount of tax refunds.

-The measure of tax compensation, owed by the taxpayers has resulted in increase of tax refunds.

-The increase of exports had a negative impact on revenue. Export firms receive substantially increased tax refunds due to the increased value of their sales abroad.

VENEZIA, 3 giugno (Reuters) - L'Ad di Unicredit CRDI.MI, Federico Ghizzoni, dice di non avere alcuna informazione sull'ipotesi di un piano per il rinnovo da parte delle banche europee di bond greci in portafoglio.

"Non ho avuto nessuna informazione e nessuna richiesta. vediamo, valutiamo se arriva. Non credo sia ancora una decisione presa. Credo che anche in Bce stiano considerando diverse ipotesi e forse anche questa, però non siamo stati informati", ha così risposto il manager a margine del consiglio per le relazioni fra Italia e Stati Uniti.

Una domanda su un affermazione fatta, 35% del PTF sulla Grecia. Al di là dell'ottimismo sulla situazione Greca, mi sembra leggermente azzardata un esposizione percentuale così elevata.
Che ne pensate? Ci sono forse considerazioni che non ho fatto, tipo entrare per un periodo di rialzo e uscire rapidamente?
