Secondo quanto riferisce "Ta Nea", un incontro privato per discutere della situazione in Grecia avrà luogo a Bruxelles prima del vertice con Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy, Herman Van Rompuy, M. Barroso, Jean-Claude Trichet, Jean -Claude Juncker e George Papandreou.
"L'incontro è stato organizzato dietro richiesta della cancelleria tedesca", ha detto una fonte diplomatica citata dalla Afp.
Il vertice cruciale avrà inizio alle 20:30 GMT.
L'obiettivo del Vertice UE sulla questione della Grecia, riferiscono fonti diplomatiche, è per confermare al più alto livello politico, i risultati dell'Eurogruppo recente.
Le modalità di coinvolgimento dei privati, nel nuovo pacchetto di aiuti, saranno discussi durante la cena del vertice nella notte di Giovedi.

Germany Merkel:Optimistic About Finance Ministers' Work On Greece
BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)--German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday that European Union leaders meeting in Brussels would evaluate the work euro-zone finance ministers are undertaking on future aid for Greece and that the process is set to yield positive results.
"I'm very optimistic that in the days ahead" the finance ministers will set the stage for a future Greek aid package, Merkel said.
Finance ministers agreed at a meeting in Luxembourg this week to seek discussions with private holders of Greek debt in an attempt to oblige them to play a larger role in a next package of aid for Greece.
Those talks are scheduled to yield a clearer outline of the size and form of "voluntary" bond holder participation at a meeting of finance ministers July 3. The European Commission has set July 11 as a deadline for agreeing a second bailout package.

Greek IMF rep sees deal on austerity plan on Thursday

ATHENS, June 23 (Reuters) - Greece's representative to the International Monetary Fund said he expected a deal to be reached on Thursday between the Greek government and an EU-IMF delegation on the terms of an austerity plan.
"They are continuing the discussions they have to finalise the agreement on the expenditure cuts and some revenue issues," Panagiotis Roumeliotis told Reuters. Asked if he expected the talks to be successfully concluded on Thursday, he replied: "Yes, I think so."
