La proposta francese che mira a rendere più attraente la proposta per gli istituti di credito, prevede il rollaggio del debito Greco con il reinvestimento da parte di banche e assicurazioni, mentre per il 70% dell'importo delle obbligazioni saranno rimborsate da Atene quando raggiungono la maturità.

GRECIA: SARKOZY CONFERMA PROPOSTA FRANCESE PER NUOVO PIANO (1 UPDATE)


(ASCA-AFP) - Parigi, 27 giu - Il presidente francese Nicolas Sarkozy ha confermato che il governo, insieme alle banche transalpine, presentera' una proposta per un nuovo piano di salvataggio della Grecia, aperto anche ai privati, con la speranza che sia adottato dall'Unione europea.

''Abbiamo lavorato molto duramente, il ministero delle Finanze ha lavorato molto duramente con le banche e le imprese di assicurazione - ha detto Sarkozy - su quella che potrebbe essere una partecipazione su base volontaria da parte del settore privato''.

''Abbiamo concluso - ha aggiunto il presidente francese - che prolungare i prestiti per oltre 30 anni, mettendoli a livello dei prestiti europei indicizzati alla crescita greca, sarebbe un sistema che tutti i paesi potrebbero trovare utile''.

Parlando a una conferenza stampa sui risultati economici raggiunti dalla Francia durante il suo mandato presidenziale, Sarkozy ha poi lanciato un appello agli altri paesi europei.

''Non lasciamo cadere la Grecia - ha detto -. Difendiamo l'Euro, perche' e' nel nostro interesse''.

Il piano francese prevede che il 50% dei rimborsi in scadenza dovuti da Atene siano reinvestiti dai privati un nuovi prestiti a scadenza trentennale, mentre un ulteriore 20% andrebbe in un fondo di garanzia.

European Commission Extends Recapitalisation Scheme For Greek Banks



The European Commission said on Monday that it had approved an extension of a recapitalisation scheme for Greek banks, according to international press reports.

"The European Commission has authorised under European state-aid rules a six-month extension, until December 31, 2011, of a scheme for the recapitalisation of credit institutions in Greece by the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund," the European Commission said in a statement.

EC added that it had also extended till the end of the year other Greek bank support, including a guarantee scheme and a bond-loan scheme.

Greek Vice-President: Drachma Return Talk “Immense Stupidity”



Vice-President of the Greek government Theodoros Pangalos blasted suggestions that Greece should exit the euro and return to the drachma as an “immense stupidity”.

In an interview with daily Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Pangalos said that those who say this are extremely stupid. “While they may be analysts, university professors or economists, saying that is an immense stupidity," he commented.

"Returning to the drachma would mean that on the following day banks would be surrounded by terrified people trying to withdraw their money, the army would have to protect them with tanks because there would not be enough police," said Pangalos.

“There would be riots everywhere, shops would be empty, some people would throw themselves out the window ... And it would also be a disaster for the entire European economy", he stated.

Theodoros Pangalos appeared optimistic that ruling party PASOK would overcome the intraparty dissatisfaction for the adoption of medium-term program on Wednesday.

"I think the package of short and medium-term measures with which we basically hope to establish the framework to undertake reforms will be approved without difficulty”, Pangalos told El Mundo.

However, he said approval of specific laws to enact fiscal reforms and privatizations of public companies may be more difficult to achieve.

"That΄s where we may have problems. I don΄t know whether some of our Members of Parliament will vote against it. It΄s possible," he said.

Greeks have overcome worse



ΑΝΑ-ΜPA/Visiting Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Monday expressed his conviction that Greece will overcome the current crisis, noting that the nation has been through worse times and managed, during a meeting with prime minister George Papandreou.
"As a nation, we have been through worse times, under more difficult conditions, but we managed. I hope that this time, too, with national unanimity, under the leadership of your government, it will be able to 'cross over the river', as the saying goes. We will always be at your side, with our prayer," said the Ecumenical Patriarch, who is in Athens for the Special Olympics.
Greeting Bartholomew at his office in parliament, the Greek premier said that in these difficult times the country is going through "the Ecumenical Patriarchate gives us strength", while he also expressed appreciation for the Ecumenical Patriarch's efforts for Orthodoxy.
"We are inspired by your own struggle, a hard and perpetual struggle not only for the Ecumenical Patriarchate but for all of Orthodoxy and its just rights. A struggle you are waging with the cooperation among cultures and, of course, for the great cause of climate change," Papandreou told Bartholomew, who is known as the "green Patriarch" for his environmental activities.
"We are at your side, and your presence here in Greece gives us the strength we need for Greece to get out of the crisis and for the Greek people to be able to prosper," Papandreou told the Ecumenical Patriarch.
Immediately after the meeting, Bartholomew and Papandreou went to parliament where they addressed a special session devoted to the Special Olympics, which are being hosted in Athens.

Voglio dire la Cina e l'area asiatica sarà sicuramente il futuro ma la strada non è mai e poi mai piana come sembra o meglio ancora come vogliono farti credere che sia.......io gli investimenti in mercati emergenti li ho e li tengo , anzi li incrementerò in futuro ma sempre in maniera poosata e tranquilla

Essendo un reinvestimento volontario non necessariamente gli accordi saranno gli stessi, figuriamoci se i tedeschi non avranno il braccino corto anche in questo caso .

Credo ci sia stato un incontro odierno nel quale Bnp Paribas e Societé Generale dovrebbero aver proposto il rinnovo trentennale del 50% dei titoli in scadenza con costituzione parallela di un fondo di garanzia.

Crisi greca, consulto in Intesa Sanpaolo

dipende anche cosa hanno le singole banche perche' se hanno principalmente bond che scadono tra 5 o piu' anni, e' diverso da chi magari ha solo bond 2012

ROMA, 27 giugno (Reuters) - La riunione presso il Tesoro italiano sul rollover per il debito greco organizzata dal direttore generale Vittorio Grilli in qualità di presidente del Comitato economico e finanziario europeo si è conclusa senza prendere alcuna decisione. Lo riferisce una fonte del Tesoro italiano.
"La riunione era a livello tecnico e non erano attese decisioni", ha detto la fonte a Reuters.
Al meeting a porte chiuse hanno partecipato funzionari delle autorità europee e rappresentanti dei principali istituti di credito internazionali.
