German, Finnish Foreign Ministers To Meet On European Policy
BERLIN (Dow Jones)--Finland's and Germany's foreign ministers, Erkki Tuomioja and Guido Westerwelle, will discuss issues of European policy, in particular the stabilization of the euro, when they meet Tuesday in Berlin, Germany's foreign ministry said in a release Monday.
The talks will run in parallel with a meeting of the German, Finnish and Dutch finance ministers, who are expected to work out a deal on the issue of collateral demanded by Finland in exchange for its contribution to Greece's bailout.
Germany's finance ministry so far hasn't given out any details of the upcoming finance ministers' gathering.
The euro zone is trying to overcome an impasse over Finnish collateral demands after an earlier bilateral deal on collateral was rejected by Germany and several other euro-zone members.
Euro-zone leaders agreed in July to provide a second bailout package for Greece worth about EUR109 billion.
