Grecia, Fmi raccomanda lotta a evasione fiscale

ATENE, 23 aprile (Reuters) - Il Fondo monetario internazionale vuole che Atene ponga rimedio alla sua debolezza strutturale nella riscossione tributaria e punisca i grandi evasori.
Lo riferisce il ministero delle Finanze in una nota in cui illustra le raccomandazioni del Fondo dopo l'avvio questa settimana dei colloqui per definire i dettagli di un piano di aiuti finanziato da Fmi e Unione Europea. "Tra le priorità immediata c'è ... un programma di controlli che include multe rigorose e il perseguire i grandi casi di evasione", si legge nella nota.

Borsa Atene: in rialzo per possibilita' aiuti Ue-Fmi questo weekend MILANO(MF-DJ)--L'indice Ase di Atene e' in rialzo del 3,8% a quota 1.930,78 punti grazie alla possibilita' che il meccanismo di salvataggio venga attivato gia' oggi. Alpha sale del 6,7%, Piraeus e National del 6,4%, Eurobank del 5,4% e Titan del 4,9%. ATHENS, April 23 (Reuters) - Greek media reported on Friday the government would request the activation of an EU/IMF aid package at 0900 GMT but officials would not confirm the reports as that deadline passed.
"The die has been cast, Greece is turning to the EU/IMF aid mechanism today, the relevant announcement will be made at 1200 local," Greek daily To Vima's website TO BHMA wrote, without citing sources. Other media repeated the news.
Greek officials would not comment on the record. Sources close to the government said an announcement was expected sometime on Friday.
Greece is negotiating a 40-45 billion euro aid package with European Union and International Monetary Fund officials aimed at pulling Greece out of a debt crisis shaking the euro.
