3W Power SA : AEG Power Solutions in UK is Awarded a €4.8 Million Contract for the Supply of UPS and Services to the London Crossrail Project

AEG Power Solutions, a leading global manufacturer of power electronic systems and solutions for industrial power supplies and renewable energies, was awarded by Crossrail Ltd, the frame contract to supply and install all the UPS systems for the Crossrail Project in London. This prestigious contract will complete its rollout in 2017, and will be followed by many years of service support during the systems 20+ year operational life.
Crossrail is currently Europe's largest rail infrastructure project under construction and will be operational in 2018. The target for this major investment by the UK Government is to provide major additional transport capacity.
Final value of the complete project is anticipated to be £14.8 billion sterling and will include 21km of new twin bore rail tunnels through London and the upgrading of 28 existing surface stations over the planned surface route of 90km.
