New Reclamation Zimbabwe Diamond Income Helps Buoy Finances, Moody’s Says

New Reclamation Group Ltd.’s
diamond-mining venture with the Zimbabwean government has played
a “significant role” in improving the South African scrap-
metal recycler’s finances, Moody’s Corp. said.
The company’s operating performance improved “largely due
to its diamond mining operations,” without which Johannesburg-
based New Reclamation would be in a “significantly less
favorable liquidity position,” Moody’s said in a statement.
The scrap company owns half of Mbada Diamonds, operating in Zimbabwe’s Marange region, the country’s biggest diamond field.
Rights groups including Global Witness and Human Rights Watch
accuse the nation’s army and police of involvement in smuggling,
rape and assault in Marange. The government denies the claims.
Moody’s confirmed New Reclamation’s Caa2 rating, the sixth-
worst of 23 possible ratings, with a negative outlook. The
company faces “ongoing liquidity concerns” particularly on
refinancing notes maturing 2013, the rating company said.

Seat, iniziano le manovre per la ristrutturazione del debito

Entro questo mese dovrebbero iniziare i lavori per la ristrutturazione del debito Seat che, come già sappiamo, sarà quasi tutto incentrato sul bond Lighthouse 2014 da 1.300 mln di euro. Rotschild dovrebbe essere l'advisor che assisterà seat nelle operazioni

Earlier this month the company’s board asked chief executive Alberto Cappellini to look at alternatives. Rothschild has advised the company in the past and may be called in to assist in this process too.

se ristrutturassero il bond Lighthouse col criterio con cui hanno ristrutturato il debito bancario sarebbe un successone, magari di dubbia sostenibilità se non aumentano il fatturato mantenendo i margini attuali.
Fosse per me proporrei un nuovo bond a sostituzione del Lighthouse e magari anche dei bond bancari con una nuova scadenza a 10 anni, senza tagli di capitale e cedola uguale per tutti. Non mi è piaciuta la ristrutturazione fatta col debito bancario e relativa emissione di bond a tasso/prezzo capestro solo per allungare di poco le scadenze.

Qui i creditori hanno il coltello dalla parte del manico perché Lighthouse è garantito da Seat e se dovessero chiederne il rimborso anticipato, andrebbe tutto a rotoli. E' probabile che ai creditori sarà offerta una bella quota azionaria in Seat per fargli accettare la ristrutturazione.
