Moody's downgrades CGG CFR to Caa3 and PDR to Ca-PD. Outlook negative

London, 17 January 2017 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") has today downgraded the ratings of CGG SA ("CGG"), including the Corporate Family Rating (CFR) to Caa3 from Caa1 and the Probability of Default Rating (PDR) to Ca-PD from Caa1-PD. Concurrently, Moody's has downgraded to Caa1 from B2 the ratings on the senior secured French revolving credit facility (RCF) borrowed by CGG SA, and the senior secured US RCF and senior secured term loan due 2019 borrowed by CGG Holding (U.S.) Inc, a subsidiary of CGG SA. Finally, Moody's also downgraded the ratings on the outstanding senior notes to Ca from Caa2. The outlook on all ratings is negative.
