3W Power: EBITDA margin for 2012 will be at the lower end of previous guidance
3W Power, the holding company of AEG Power Solutions, presented the results for the second quarter of this year. With € 87 million of new orders compared to the previous quarter and by 31.7% compared to the first Quarter of 2012 decreased by 4.5%. This decrease is mainly due to the expected weak demand in the market due to polysilicon. Group sales in the second Quarter of 98.2 million euros, 8.0% less than in the second Quarter of 2011 (106.7 million euros), driven by the attractive growth in the solar industry, however, 17.6% more than in the first Quarter of 2012. EBITDA in the second Quarter of 2012 was positive at EUR 4.8 million. This includes one-time charges totaling 1.2 million euros. "We remain focused on continuing our profitable growth agenda", said Horst J. Kayser. 'We are regionally and technologically diversified and well positioned to exploit new opportunities that arise in the market for renewable energy - especially in the growing global solar market, the trend for storing electrical energy and smart grid solutions.' 3W Power assumes that the sales are, and the adjusted EBITDA margin for 2012 at the lower end of previous guidance be.
