US Gross Domestic Product, GDP, increased by 4.2 percent at the estimated annual rate in the second quarter.
It shows the preliminary estimate of GDP from the US Department of Commerce.
According to Reuters forecast forecast, analysts expected that GDP would have increased by 4.0 percent. According to the first estimate, GDP rose by 4.1 per cent.
GDP growth in the first quarter was 2.2 percent.
Private consumption increased by 3.8 per cent in the second quarter (4.0 per cent according to the first estimate).
Price developments on the entire GDP base, the so-called GDP deficit, rose 3.0 percent during the quarter (+4.0). The analysts had expected +3.9 percent.
Price index for private consumption, PCE price index, increased 1.9 percent in the second quarter (+1.8). Corresponding indexes for food and energy (Core PCE index) rose 2.0 percent (+2.0), analysts had expected a 2.0 percent increase.
Final demand, real final sales, increased 5.3 percent in the second quarter (+5.1). Final domestic demand rose 3.9 percent (+3.9).
Public consumption increased by 2.3 per cent (+2.1). Defense spending rose by 6.0 percent (+5.5).
Gross fixed capital formation increased by 6.2 percent in the second quarter at the estimated annual rate (+5.4). Investments in equipment rose 4.4 percent (+3.9). Residential investment fell 1.6 percent (-1.1).
Stocks increased by $ -2.6.9 billion (-27.9).
Trade net loss showed a loss of $ 843.7 billion (849.9). Exports increased 9.1 percent (+9.3) while imports fell 0.4 percent (+0.5).
Private consumption yielded a GDP contribution of + 2.55 percentage points (+2.69), while the contribution from net exports was +1.17 percentage points (+1.06). The stock change gave a contribution of -0.97 percentage points (-1.0).

qualcuno si è fatto un idea sulla fine che farà Gastar? le quotazioni non sono incoraggianti ma vendere sarebbero pochi spicci e non ho grandi gain attualmente da compensare... secondo voi?

Difficile dare una risposta alla tua domanda, la società è in vendita hanno rallentato le perforazioni per risparmiare liquidità in attesa di qualche offerta decente.
