Hanjin Shipping files for U.S. bankruptcy protection

Hanjin Shipping (OTC:HNJSF) has filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. under Chapter 15 to protect its vessels from being seized by creditors, WSJreports.

The troubled container shipper already filed for court receivership last Wednesday after its creditor banks decided to end financial support.

Hanjin is currently the largest shipping company in Korea, and is ranked as the world's ninth largest container shipping business, transporting over 100M tons of cargo a year.


Bisognerà vedere se le Seaspan caleranno ancora.

Ottima scelta.L' azione oggi ha perso il 7% circa ma è dovuto agli dati sugli inventory del petrolio.Dal cui valori dovrebbe non essere correlata,ma il mercato la percepisce così.Ne ho approfittato per incrementare la mia posizione azionaria.Comunque il dividendo trimestrale è stato da poco confermato,altra buona notizia.La preferred ha due call:una nel 2017,l' altra nel 2020.In entrambi i casi offre un buon rendimento.
Ovvio che trattati di preferred molto volatile,ma il rapporto rischio/rendimento mi sembra migliore di molte altre.
