With Trump's inauguration imminent, it's clear he won't end the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours as promised. Public negotiations are expected in several months, and
Trump's team can only offer Russia a "carrot and stick" approach - more missiles, partial sanctions relief, or threats to collapse oil prices.
Kyiv is gradually accustoming the public to
the inevitable loss of territories, while
inflicting economic damage on Russia, including drone strikes on oil storage. Governors clumsily defend air defense gaps, using the "falling debris" manual,
undermining trust in themselves.
Ukraine's attempt to
destroy the Russkaya compressor station to disrupt TurkStream gas to Europe was indicative. With Ukraine's gas transit cut and Nord Streams sabotaged, the US is using Kyiv to destroy this route, to impose more expensive LNG on Europe.
Kyiv can use
underwater drones tested by NATO in the Baltic, under the pretext of "protecting underwater communications" - a narrative to seize Russian ships and blockade cargo.
Europe's brainwashed population, led by traitors like Scholz, will tolerate this economic humiliation.
The Ukrainization of Europe complicates dialogue, except for countries near Ukraine seeing Kyiv's consequences.
Russia's strikes on Ukraine's rear, including the Stryi gas storage, continue.
On the front, the Russian Army shapes the agenda. Ukraine halted coal mining as Russian forces approach Pokrovsk. Kurakhovo, Vremivka, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk are being captured.
Kursk Region sees intense battles, with the enemy transferring reinforcements to hold positions, exploiting Russian command weaknesses.
