TUI AG Reports 7.8% Increase in Half-Year Revenue to €8.6bn, Q2 Gross Loss Widens to €-42.9m

TUI AG has reported its financial results for the period from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The company posted a revenue of €8.576 billion for the first half of 2025, marking a 7.8% increase from the €7.953 billion reported in the same period the previous year. Despite the rise in revenue, TUI AG recorded a group loss of €293.2 million in H1 2025, which is an improvement compared to the €330.5 million loss in H1 2024, reflecting an 11.3% reduction in losses. The earnings before income taxes were reported at a negative €353.2 million, which is a 12.4% improvement from the negative €403.1 million in the previous year. The company's earnings per share stood at -€0.77, slightly better than the -€0.82 recorded in the first half of 2024, representing a 6.1% improvement. Additionally, TUI AG's cost of sales increased by 7.7% to €8.359 billion from €7.758 billion in the same period last year. The financial expenses decreased by 12.1% to €217.9 million from €247.8 million, while the share of result from investments accounted for using the equity method improved by 5.5% to €140.8 million. The company also reported an increase in its equity ratio to 9.5% as of March 31, compared to 7.7% the previous year, reflecting a 1.8 percentage point improvement.
Employee numbers rose by 2.5% to 57,781 as of March 31. There were no significant updates provided regarding business operations.
