Cell Therapeutics to Offer Convertible Senior Notes in Exchange for Existing Subordinated Debt
SEATTLE (AP) -- Biotech company Cell Therapeutics Inc. said Tuesday it would offer $33.2 million in convertible senior notes in exchange for $40.7 million of its existing subordinated debt.
The company will offer the convertible senior notes due 2011 for $39.5 million in outstanding senior subordinated notes due 2008 and $1.2 million in outstanding subordinated notes due 2008.
The notes will bear an annual interest rate of 7.5 percent and are convertible for common stock at a rate of 478.519 shares per $1,000 principal amount of notes, or an initial conversion price of $2.09 per share.
The offer is expected to close on Thursday.
Shares of Cell Therapeutics added one penny to $1.84 in morning trading on the Nasdaq.
