Greece Sold EUR 1.625bn T-Bills
Greece sold on Tuesday EUR 1.625bn of 26-week treasury bills at an auction, according to a Greek Public Debt Management Agency statement.
The coverage ratio was 3.59, as the total bids reached EUR 4.485b, with uniform yield at 4.75%.
Primary Dealers can additionally submit non-competitive bids up to 30% of the amount initially auctioned until March 10, will settlement date is March 11.
The head of Greece΄s Public Debt Management Agency Petros Christodoulou told Dow Jones Newswires that treasury bill auction garnered lower than recent levels of demand, with only 31% of the take-up coming from foreign investors.
"I am pleased to see continued foreign interest in Greek T-Bill auctions”, he commented.
"The historic average for foreign participation in our T-Bill auctions is between 25% to 30%. It was only in February that it jumped to 80% and 60% levels. The foreign take-up was also lower because this was comparatively a much larger tender than last month΄s," Christodoulou added according to Dow Jones.
