Merkel sprona l'Italia sul debito: Deve rispettare impegni presi

Ma la cancelliera stoppa il fronte degli 'insofferenti': l'Europa va avanti, siamo tutti sulla stessa barca



Roma, 11 set. (TMNews) - Per salvare l'euro ci vuole rigore e "Ogni Paese membro dell'euro deve mantenere gli impegni concordati con i partner", esorta Angela Merkel in un'intervista a Tagesspiegel pubblicata oggi da La Repubblica. "I primi successi sono gia visibili. Ovunque nell'eurozona si parla di un tetto costituzionale al debito. Dobbiamo verificare come affidare competenze all'Europa nell'ambito dei trattati esistenti, e riflettere se cambiare i trattati", dichiara il cancelliere tedesco, sottolineando che "l'integrazione europea, comunque, va spinta in avanti".

Alla domanda sulla prospettiva che "gli italiani abbiano voce in capitolo sul nostro debito", Merkel mette in chiaro che un'Europa più unita e coesa non significa "semplicemente cedere competenze", ma anche che le decisioni prese siano rispettate. Poi evidenzia: "siamo tutti sulla stessa barca e tuti devono capire che basta l'errore di uno solo di quelli a bordo per metter i pericolo tutti".

Condivido perfettamente...
E comunque anche la fine dell'euro non mi lascerebbe affatto paralizzato dall'incredulità.
Avevo aperto una discussione anche su questa "folle" ipotesi più di un anno fa, forse più per esorcizzarla che credendoci veramente, ma da un pò di tempo in qua...

Per cui anche con l'oro (fisico) mi sono già mosso da tempo
Probabilmente incrementerò ancora, anche se si parla di bolla...ma se salta davvero l'euro si dovrebbe riuscire comunque a salvare qualcosa, bolla o non bolla.

Sulle montagne russe prossime venture (forse) dei tds piigs la mia idea sarebbe quella di provare a farci un giro per puro gusto dell'azzardo estremo, ben conoscendo i rischi degli scenari dell'impossibile e dell'imprevedibile che si potrebbero aprire sul serio in quel caso.
Francamente spero che non accadano, perché nessuno veramente potrà più sapere dove e quando si fermerà la pallina della roulette.

non si può uscire dall'euro....non è il club degli scacchi.
nessuno viene mandato fuori, nessuno se ne va. il vero problema è che si è fermato il processo di integrazione..bisogna realizzare una vera europa unità europea...gli egoismi nazionali sono difficili da debellare....in primis quelli tedeschi che sembranop avere la memoria corta.....molto corta....



bravo pastelletto ......in questo momento abbiamo l'immagne di un paese ridicolo, perchè in mano a persone ridicole che si comportano in modo ridicolo.....tutte...senza distinzioni ...ma una volta tolte le incorstazioi di sporco.......

Papandreou emphasizes need for change as thousands protest at Thessaloniki fair

THESSALONIKI - Greece will meet ambitious savings targets despite a deepening recession this year, the prime minister said yesterday, to secure the continued flow of international rescue loans that are protecting the debt-crippled country from a catastrophic bankruptcy.
As George Papandreou delivered his annual keynote speech on the economy in Greece’s second-largest city of Thessaloniki, police on the streets outside clashed with violent demonstrators as more than 25,000 people - from taxi-drivers to sports fans - joined a wave of anti-austerity protests.
Two people were arrested and nearly 100 people detained, police said, while at least two demonstrators were injured during the clashes in the northern port city.
“We will push through all the major changes our country has needed for years,’’ Papandreou said in a nationally televised address. “And we will take whatever other decisions are needed, we will do whatever is necessary to keep the country on its feet.’’
The government has promised to make up for weeks of inactivity by accelerating overdue reforms meant to cut excess from the bloated public sector. It even broke a major taboo by warning that thousands of civil servants - hired with guarantees of lifetime jobs - could be fired.
Papandreou said his main concern was to keep the country solvent.
“We don’t have the right to abandon this effort halfway through,’’ he said. “Because if it remains half-done, [our] sacrifices will have been in vain.’’
Papandreou’s Socialist government has imposed painful austerity measures over the past 20 months - cutting pensions and salaries while raising taxes and retirement ages - to secure vital international rescue loans worth $302.6 billion. But its efforts to economize while reviving a fast-contracting economy amid record unemployment have faltered, sparking new market distress

Greek film wins Venice screenplay award



The story of a singular technique for grief counseling earned Giorgos Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou the Best Screenplay award at the 68 Venice Film Festival on Saturday evening.
Directed by Lanthimos and starring Aris Servetalis, Aggeliki Papoulia and Ariane Labed, “Alps” follows a group whose members take on the roles of deceased people in an attempt to enable those left behind handle their grief.
La Mostra’s Golden Lion for Best Film was awarded to Aleksander Sokurov, while the festival’s Silver Lion for Best Director went to Shangjun Cai for “Ren Shan Ren Hai.”

MANCANO ANCORA 11 ORE AL DEFAULT ...


Rampant Internet rumours that Greece will default over the weekend targeted "the euro and the heart of the eurozone, not Greece," Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said in statements at the general assembly of the Central Union of Greek Chambers of Commerce on Saturday. Venizelos dismissed the rumours as "deliberate and organised speculation," warning that those who considered Greece a 'soft target' or the 'black sheep' of the European south were ultimately turning on themselves and the hard core of the eurozone.

"It is very important that we reply to the speculation and organised rumour-mongering against the euro," he underlined.
In statements earlier, the minister had said that those who believe that Greece was destroyed and that there was no hope "were completely out of touch with reality".
He also urged those in Greece to avoid further fuelling and recycling such rumours, otherwise those abroad would not stop "playing games at our expense".

Clarifying further, Venizelos pointed out that the Greek economy represented just 2 percent of EU GDP and less than 3 percent of the eurozone's total public debt, while its total debt amounted to no more than the annual borrowing needs of just one southern European country in the eurozone.

"Greece's economic figures do not convert it into a catalyst for the future and the survival of the euro. But if the eurozone is unable to solve the Greek problem, it will not be able to solve its own structural problem," he added.

The minister further noted that Greece was not handling the financial system nor the sphere of the real economy on its own.
However, Venizelos admitted that Greece was creating problems for its self and was a problem for its partners, who had supported and continued to the support the country systematically with total approved funds amounting to 219 billion euro.

In other statements at the same gathering, Venizelos said that Greece had to make a strong surge forward in the next two months, which will be critical for the country's future.
"Every hour of those two months has to count as a year from the point of view of effort. In the period until the end of October we must prove that we can keep to our commitments by promoting structural changes, executing the budget and planning a reliable budget for 2012, as well as going ahead with privatisations," he underlined.

The minister stressed that there was no room for either inertia or back-tracking at this time and that Greece could only move foward.
"If by October the government commitments related to the agreement of July 21 for the Greek economy have been fulfilled, the atmosphere will change," he said, stressing that Greece had to stop generating primary deficits as quickly as possible.
Stopping the recession demanded full implementation of the decisions of July 21 and drawing the necessary funds from the public and private sector worldwide as soon as possible, Venizelos said.

PAPANDREOU A TESSALONICCO



Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou on Saturday send a clear message to Greek citizens, to Europeans and to international markets that his government was determined to implement all measures agreed with its European partners and the IMF towards promoting structural reforms and cutting fiscal deficits to ensure the approval of a second support package for Greece and leading country out from its recent deep economic crisis.

In the traditional Prime Minister's speech to the country's productive classes in Thessaloniki, on the occasion of the 76th Thessaloniki International Fair, the Greek Premier expressed his confidence that all Greeks believed that the country has all the necessary sources and human resources and has significant prospects for the future, but people needed to find again their interest for their fellow men and to rediscover the importance of collective effort in order to move forward.

The Greek Prime Minister urged Greek citizens to forget -for the moment- the memorandum and any agreement with the country's creditors and to focus on the need to change everything not only to survive but to build a better country -not because some foreigners say so - "but for our national independence and dignity and for our children".

Papandreou also expressed his confidence that everyone acknowledged the need for Greece to maintain its European orientation and to remain a member of the euro area. "I am certain that we all believe we will be victorious at the end," he said.

The Greek Premier, in his speech, reminded that two years ago, Greek citizens sent his PASOK party to power asking his government to liberate the country's creative forces from any burdens. The people asked for a revolution. The revolution of the self-evident. To make all big changes that will allow the country to exploit its great capabilities. "This is what we do. This is our effort. This is our goal," he said.

He was clear that the government will take any decisions necessary to save the country from bankruptcy, to remain in the euro and to fully implement decisions taken in an EU Summit in July 21. He urged all Greeks to support the government in its efforts. "Those who bet on Greece leaving the euro will find a unified Greece against them. Those who hope to buy Greece for nothing, the enterprises, the land and its workforce, will find every Greek against them," Papandreou said, adding that "all those wishing disaster to save themselves, will also find all of us seeking a better future against them".

Questo è solo un assaggio ... certamente non dovuto alla sola Grecia.
Ad ogni modo la Frau ha messo alla BCE un suo uomo che rinforza la posizione di Schaeuble e rilancia l'asse con Parigi.
Per i bondisti ellenici, è buona cosa.

Penso che le dimissioni di Stark...significhino un maggior impegno della BCE nel futuro "prossimo" nel sostegno ai TDS Italiani, Spagnoli ...e poi Portoghesi e Irlandesi...
Temo che senza dirlo si stia passando al piano B ...che prevede ben più massicci acquisti di debito periferico (stile Fed) e ..nuove aste di rifinanziamento a quantitivo illimitato e tasso fisso a scadenza annuale (ricordarte sempre la 1a ...enorme ...440MLD 1% 1y del giugno 2009...: in pochi giorni e senza acquisti sul secondario i decennali presero 4-5 figure).
In fondo sono strumenti di difesa dell'€urosistema di immediata realizzazione ove ve ne fosse urgenza.
Non mancherà un ...nuovo giro di iniezioni di capitale nelle maggiori banche europee...francesi e tedesche in primis...( i rispettivi governi al momento opportuno ...contribuiranno in deroga ai vincoli Eu sugli aiuti di stato).
Gli stati "core" dell'eurozona - imho - cominciano a preparare le difese , l'Italia dovrebbe fare altrettanto ...visto che finora hanno solo messo pezze qua e là... senza una politica economica seria, credibile e realmente difensiva a causa di una classe politica bipartisan inetta.
