Il bid/cover risulta più basso, anche rispetto all'importo offerto all'asta precedente (generalmente più è alto l'importo da assegnare più risulta impegnativa la copertura ...)
Comunque molto buono.

Assegnati 1625 MLN al tasso del 4,75, rispetto al 4,64 precedente.

Greek downgrade no threat to euro-German minister

Tue Mar 8, 2011 10:20am GMT

BERLIN, March 8 (Reuters) - German Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said on Tuesday that he was not concerned that Greece's latest credit rating downgrade would create new insecurity for the euro.
Moody's slashed Greece's credit rating by three notches on Monday due to an increased default risk, raising the spectre that the distressed euro zone sovereign may have to restructure its debt, perhaps before 2013.
Bruederle also said that Germany's economic recovery would not be by endangered by a series of train drivers' strikes, which union members voted on Monday to step up.

Italy Seen Accepting Debt Target In EU Reforms - Sources

By Matthew Dalton
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)--Italy is likely to drop its opposition to a proposal by the European Commission aimed at getting countries with high government debt levels to reduce their debt according to a fixed formula, officials said.

The move could pave the way for an agreement on a package of six economic reforms sought by the Commission when finance ministers from the 27 EU nations meet March 15.

Italy's government debt is around 120% of gross domestic product, the European Union's second highest public debt level after Greece. Italy and Greece were one of the main opponents of a Commission proposal to require that countries with a debt-to-GDP ratio over the EU limit of 60% would be required to cut their excess debt by 5% each year.

Italy has argued that it has low levels of private debt that should ease concerns about its public debt level. The Commission has said that it plans to take private-debt levels into consideration when examining when and how countries should cut their public debt, a provision that appears to have satisfied the Italian government, a senior euro-zone official said.

"We have very good indications that they might drop their opposition," said an EU diplomat close to the negotiations.
Officials expect Greece to drop its opposition without the support of Italy.

Greece targets US investors with $3 bln of diaspora bonds

The Greek government plans to sell about three billion dollars of ‘diaspora’ bonds to retail investors in the U.S., according to the Finance Ministry.

The government approved fees to be paid for U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission clearance for the sale, a Finance Ministry statement said on Tuesday.

No further details were available.

Finance Ministry sources told Kathimerini earlier this month that the government will target investors of Greek descent in the US, Canada and Australia in a bid to raise money by selling bonds after being locked out of the debt market last year.

Sources had said that the ministry hopes to issue bonds of between three to ten years at an interest rate of less than 5 percent.
