Luigi BOBBA, Vice Presidente della Commissione Lavoro della Camera dei Deputati, ha presentato un’interrogazione al Ministro dell’Economia e delle Finanze e relativa ai circa 100.000 italiani che hanno investito i propri risparmi in tali obbligazioni in euro, emesse da banche islandesi travolte dal recente crack, ed inserite nella lista dell’associazione bancaria italiana, ABI, ‘PattiChiari’, come obbligazioni a basso rischio e rendimento, in modo particolare quelle emesse dalla banca Glitnir Banki Hf (ufficialmente in stato di default, dopo il mancato rimborso di un bond da 750 milioni di dollari).

Sembra che sul mercato interbancario l'ISK continui gradualmente a rafforzarsi. Siamo a 143 contro euro e a 112 contro USD.
Soprattutto, si riduce la volatilità sulla valuta, condizione imposta dal FMI sulla strada della riammissione dell'ISK a scambi normali.

ISK exchange rate good news for IMF
FX trends in recent weeks should be welcomed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arriving in Iceland today to begin its first quarterly review of the economic recovery programme drafted jointly by IMF and Icelandic authorities.
The ISK trade-weighted index has strengthened by 17% since the interbank FX market re-opened on 4 December 2008. Since the beginning of this year the increase is 12.5% and 4.3% in February, bringing the ISK exchange rate for main currencies to its highest level since October.
A euro now costs ISK 143 and a USD costs ISK 112.
As exchange rate stabilisation is among the conditions set by IMF for commencing the removal of currency controls and policy rate reduction, the FX market trend in recent months is extremely positive and of major importance for the progress of the recovery programme.
In addition to the exchange rate development, yesterday´s CPI figures indicating slowing inflation should also have a positive effect. The monthly CPI increase of 0.5% was much less than generally anticipated. Figures released today on the balance of payments for Q4 2008 will also be a key factor in determining whether restrictions are relaxed in the near term.

E' una cosa quasi da borsa nera, in quanto - correggetemi se sbaglio - l'ISK è trattata con restrizioni sul solo mercato interbancario, non è accessibile ad oggi al retail.
Di conseguenza, se tu vuoi cambiare le tue ISK, la banca ti dà 1 euro per 230 corone, con un bel gain netto del 30% rispetto al cambio interbancario... da non crederci...
