On February 1, 2021, Security National Mortgage executed a settlement agreement with Lehman Holdings in relation to these two adversary proceedings wherein all mortgage loan related claims were resolved, thereby ending all liabilities asserted by Lehman Holdings and conclusively ending all proceedings between Security National Mortgage and Lehman Holdings.


In accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the full amount of Security National Mortgage’s settlement payment will be accounted for in the Registrant’s 2020 yearend financial reports.

E' una bella domanda.

Da un punto di vista tecnico/formale direi di no.

Ma da un punto di vista pratico non mi sentirei di escluderlo totalmente, a condizione però che avvenga la più volte ventilata nascita di una NewCo.

So che questo è un aspetto della vicenda Lehman Brothers che sta molto a cuore a te ed a tutti coloro i quali si trovano nella tua stessa situazione.

Ma il tempo passa e non si riesce a comprendere ancora come andrà a finire questa annosa vicenda.

Sta di fatto però che la proroga di ulteriori 5 anni della procedura fallimentare continua ad alimentare le speranze di obbligazionisti e, perchè no, di tutti i subordinati.

Speriamo: dovremo pur avere una risposta certa e definitiva alle nostre legittime domande.
