France's trade deficit at €7.4 billion in April​

France's trade deficit stood at €7.4 billion in April, expanding from €6.25 billion registered in March and surpassing expectations, the External Trade Ministerial Statistical Office (DSECE) said in its report issued on Friday and shared by the INSEE.

Month-on-month, exports worsened by €100,000 to €50.4 billion. Meanwhile, imports remained stable at €57.8 billion.

The energy balance deteriorated by €0.2 billion to a deficit of €4.6 billion. The balance of manufactured goods remained virtually the same at a deficit of €4.5 billion.
