Titoli di Stato paesi-emergenti VENEZUELA e Petroleos de Venezuela - Cap. 2

Cómo se generó la deuda pública venezolana:
1. Régimen vendía bonos en $
2. Enchufados iban a CADIVI a comprar $ regalados (a $2.30/Bs)

ACTION ALERT : Take 10 seconds to tell Boris, hands off Latin America!

Hello Luca

There are a lot of reasons to oppose Boris Johnson, and one of them is his slavish adherence to the Trump and Bolsonaro far-right agenda in Latin America. We're writing to ask you to sign two petitions to send Boris a message to not follow Trump's aggression in the region:

1) GIVE VENEZUELA BACK ITS GOLD: The Bank of England, under instruction from the UK Government in a bid to back Trump's illegal sanctions on Venezuela, is still holding billions of dollars of Venezuela's gold.
Sign the petition here now and retweet here to spread the word.

2 ) NO MORE SPYWARE SALES TO HONDURAS: Trump and Boris claim to care about democracy and human rights in Central and Southern America, yet both governments prop up the repressive, reactionary regime in Honduras. You can sign a petition here urging Boris to end spyware sales and we copy for information below an email update from Labour Friends of Progressive Latin America explaining more.

Best wishes,
The Venezuela Solidarity Campaign Team.

TAKE ACTION TODAY: Did you that, with Boris as Foreign Secretary, UK spyware sales to the reactionary, repressive, coup-regime in Honduras were exposed? Take 10 seconds now to sign this petition, share this Facebook post and retweet here.

“We support the call from Honduran human rights groups for the UK government to stop exports of surveillance equipment to the illegitimate, repressive government of Honduras… We are dismayed the UK Government (when you were Foreign Secretary) sanctioned sales of telecommunications interception equipment to Honduras, given the country’s human rights situation, and urge you to ensure that no further export licences are granted to the Honduran Government.”

CAMPAIGNING: Pilger, Eno, Mansfield and leading Labour figures speak out against Honduras spyware sales 10 years on from the coup
Read on Tribune here – Retweet if you stand with them here!

“We, the undersigned, note that ten years ago (June 28 2009) a military coup ousted Honduras’ democratically elected President Manuel Zelaya…The coup was widely condemned by governments across Latin America, the EU, and the OAS, but not by the United States government, which has continued to support successive right-wing Honduran governments since. This is despite evidence of electoral fraud, widespread corruption and the criminalisation and repression of political dissent, including assassinations of activists.
The British government is complicit too, having sold to the Honduran government spyware designed to eavesdrop on its citizens, months before the state rounded up thousands of people in a well-orchestrated surveillance operation.
Ten years on from the coup, we stand in solidarity with Honduras’ democratic resistance movements and call on Western governments to stop propping up the current right-wing, repressive regime.”

John Pilger, journalist & filmmaker; Michael Mansfield QC; Brian Eno, musician; Andy De La Tour, actor; Lloyd Russell-Moyle MP; Neil Findlay MSP; Tony Burke, Assistant General Secretary, Unite the Union; Ronnie Draper, General Secretary, Bakers Food & Allied Workers Union; Zita Holbourne, National Vice President PCS, National Chair BARAC UK, author & artist; Kate Hudson, CND General Secretary; Lindsey German, Stop the War Coalition Convenor; Rachel Garnham, Labour Party NEC; Claudia Webbe, Labour Party NEC; Colin Burgon, Honorary President, Labour Friends of Progressive Latin America.

ANALYSIS: Colin Burgon on why the US and UK should stop propping up the Honduran Reactionary Regime

You can read here and retweet here an important piece from our Honorary President and former MP Colin Burgon on how 10 years from the coup, “Growing street movements have demanded an end to the repressions and killing, an end to the militarisation, an end to subordinance to Trump, and end to IMF ‘rescue packages’ that destroy the economy and public services, and justice for all the victims of the 2009 coup d’etat and the regime since.”

Colin is right that we must stand with them – starting by demanding that the UK commits to selling no more arms or spyware to Honduras - Remember to sign the petition here and retweet this.
