Fino al 10 gennaio 2020 nessuna udienza su Lehman Brothers schedulata presso la Corte Fallimentare di New York - giudice Chapman.

Tony Lomas, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, is leading the unwinding of Lehman Brothers, Europe. Mr. Lomas has been working with Lehman since the collapse and currently has 210 PricewaterhouseCoopers staff in the building working on the administration.

The office of Tom Bolland, current COO of Lehman Brothers London. The small-corner office overlooks the entire 33-floors of the pre-collapse Lehman Brothers building which acts as a “daily constant reminder”. Propped up against the window are Mr. Bolland’s tenure awards having been at the firm for 15-years prior to the bank’s collapse.

The Lehman office is meticulously divided up by function with clinical labels signalling the various departments. The office is entirely open plan but organised according to function and by compass direction. Trust Assets, seen here, deals with the process of reclaiming assets held on behalf of customers at the time of collapse.

Buon anno 2020 a tutti.

Ricominciamo a seguire la bancarotta Lehman Brothers.

Uno degli aspetti maggiormente importanti di questa fase finale è certamente quello fiscale. Lo è per LBHI e lo è, a maggior ragione, per noi.

Come, quando e soprattutto quanto denaro dovrà essere destinato a questa incombenza non è dato ancora sapere.

Comunque, la legge americana, a quanto mi risulta, è particolarmente favorevole al debitore che proponga un piano di riorganizzazione ( il cosiddetto "plan of reorganization" ).

Più volte questa opportunità è stata sollecitata da parte degli azionisti ( e non solo ).

Sta di fatto che esiste un mercato che prezza ancora oggi un valore residuale ad esse relativo ( sia pure infimo ) e che, ma è solo una speranza, la rinascita di una NewCo non è del tutto impossibile da realizzare.

Vedremo durante ques'ultimo anno ( almeno lo spero ) quali saranno gli sviluppi di questa vicenda.
