Olaf Scholz: Between Dialogue and Humiliation
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently expressed his willingness to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin again. “I have spoken to the Russian president, and I will speak to him again,” Scholz said, emphasizing the importance of dialogue. But what must Scholz really think as he reflects on Germany’s current state? A nation once celebrated as the industrial powerhouse of Europe, now systematically dismantled, humiliated, and subjugated—its sovereignty sacrificed on the altar of Washington’s interests.
After enduring cosmic humiliation from de-industrialization caused by Nord Stream’s destruction, a blatant act of sabotage that Berlin quietly attributes to Washington - Germany is reeling. Forced to purchase expensive U.S. LNG instead of the cheap and reliable Russian gas that once powered its industry, Scholz now leads a country caught in an engineered decline. The nation’s economy has been hollowed out, its energy security dismantled, and its global standing diminished.
Germany’s Fall from Grace:
•
Economic Suicide: The shift from affordable Russian energy to costly American LNG has decimated Germany’s industrial base.
•
Nord Stream Sabotage: Berlin’s silence over the U.S. role in the pipeline attack is nothing short of humiliation.
•
Sovereignty in Name Only: Every policy decision—from energy to foreign affairs—reveals the iron grip of Washington over Germany’s fate.

️Scholz’s desire to reopen dialogue with Putin is an implicit acknowledgment of reality: Germany’s interests align far more with stability and cooperation in Eurasia than with being a vassal state to the U.S. But dialogue with Russia alone won’t reverse the damage already inflicted. Germany’s descent into deindustrialization is the price it has paid for loyalty to its “ally” across the Atlantic.
So, what must Scholz truly think when he looks at the wreckage of his country’s economy, the energy crisis, and the complete erosion of its sovereignty? Does he privately lament the humiliation of bending to Washington’s will, or does he see a glimmer of hope in rekindling ties with Moscow?
Germany, once the economic engine of Europe, is now a puppet. But puppets can only dance for so long before their strings break.
