HOUSTON, May 6 (Reuters) - U.S. oil firm ConocoPhillips has moved to take Caribbean assets of Venezuela’s state-run PDVSA to enforce a $2 billion arbitration award over a decade-oil nationalization of its projects in the South American country, according to two sources familiar with its actions.

The U.S. firm targeted Caribbean facilities on the islands of Bonaire and St. Eustatius that play critical roles in PDVSA’s oil exports, the country’s main source of revenue. PDVSA relies on the terminals to process, store and blend its oil.

“We will work with the community and local authorities to address issues that may arise as a result of enforcement actions,” ConocoPhillips said in a statement to Reuters. (Reporting by Marianna Parraga and Gary McWilliams; Editing by Sandra Maler)

hanno fatto presto a passare ai sequestri. molto veloci.
unica cosa che x ora ha salvato maddy è che nn hanno ancora risolto la storia dell alter ego.
ora conoco cercherà di prendersi pian piano i 2 mld in oil. se poi qualche giudice dimostrerà che pdvsa è alter ego del venezuela abbiamo gold reserve e altri che passeranno ai sequestri. ai bh conviene iniziare a sbrigarsi

Stanno attaccando gli asset esteri di pdvsa, sarebbe interessante capire se le facilities sulle due isole olandesi sono possedute direttamente o attraverso delle controllate (imho la prima, per questo hanno potuto ottenere già ora un ordine esecutivo).
Nel caso p.e. di Citgo, prima di arrivare agli asset devono fare un po' di veil piercing (PDVSA -> PDV Holding Inc -> PDV America Inc -> Citgo Holding Inc -> CITGO)

A dicembre stavano perdendo la licenza del terminal di Bonaire per ritardi nelle manutenzione degli impianti, quale fu la reazione dei mafiosi? La chiusura di tutte le comunicazioni aeree e marittime e scambi commerciali con le antille olandesi accusandoli di furti di rame, oro, diamanti, coltan...

Quale sarà la reazione questa stavolta? Per Bonaire è sicuramente di PDVSA la proprietà del terminal

El candidato a la reelección Nicolás Maduro se mantiene como favorito para ganar las elecciones presidenciales del próximo 20 de mayo, con 60 % de participación frente a un poco más de 30 % de su más cercano contendor, Henri Falcón.

Así lo informó este miércoles el director de la encuestadora Hinterlaces y constituyente, Óscar Schemel, entrevistado en Unión Radio.

“De los que dicen que van a votarr, 48 % sería para el aspirante a la reelección (Maduro), mientras que 32 % se inclina por la opción de Henri Falcón, y Javier Bertucci estaría ubicado en 11%”, precisó.

El también constituyente considera que si algunos líderes realizan una convocatoria en último momento para darle todo el apoyo a Falcón, como estrategia para subir en las encuestas, no tendría ningún efecto significativo.

“Henrique Capriles es un líder que no está en sus mejores momentos para convocar y no creo tampoco que sumaría votos suficientes”, añadió.
