ECB's Nowotny: up to EU to solve Greek debt crisis

VIENNA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Solving Greece's debt crisis is a problem for the Greek and other European governments, and not primarily the job of the European Central Bank, ECB governing board member Ewald Nowotny said on Tuesday.

"It is notfor the ECB to bail out Greece," Nowotny said at an economic conference in Vienna.

Nowotny said growth was the only way for countries to stabilise deteriorating budget dynamics, and the risk of sudden deleveraging by banks in emerging Europe hadto be addressed.

He added that bank supervisory authorities would have to ensure that bank capital rules would not have a restrictive impact on credit in the real economy and that recent Austrian rules on lending in emerging Europe were not atool to speed deleveraging.

Time not yet ripe for eurobonds - ECB's Nowotny

VIENNA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - A discussion of introducing joint debt issues by euro zone members - so-called eurobonds - has to await steps to enshrine fiscal consolidation, ECB Governing Council member Ewald Nowotny said on Tuesday.

"We do have of course discussions about increasing...fiscal solidity. After these discussion with hopefully a positive outcome we can discuss this," he told a panel discussion at a Euromoney conference in response to a question.

Ho fatto un testacoda quando segnavo -0,6% (memore delle passate esperienze) e sono ripartito a ruote fumanti con il long.
Comunque è rispettato il fatto che quando tocco l'Xbear si va UP.
Comunque un minimo possibile di Xbear lo hanno più o meno individuato...Vedremo il da farsi.

Per ora il trend del MIB ha i minimi crescenti.

VIENNA, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Involving private sector investors in resolving Greece's debt crisis poses a tough challenge but one that can be mastered, European Central Bank Governing Council member Ewald Nowotny said.

"This is indeed a verydifficult operation. I hope that all participants will understand the responsibility they have," he told a panel discussion on Tuesday, saying the Greek government had to take the first steps to put its finances in order.

But he added: "It is aproblem that, with a cool head, can be resolved."

depositi hanno segnato ieri un nuovo record assoluto: gli
istituti hanno infatti allocato presso lo sportello
ufficiale 501,93 miliardi contro i 493,272 miliardi di
venerdi' (precedente massimo assoluto). Lo ha reso noto la
stessa Banca centrale europea, precisando che sempre lunedi'
i prestiti chiesti dalle banche sono ribassati a 1,640
miliardi dai 2,386 miliardi di venerdi'. Restano quindi
elevate le tensioni sull'interbancario, con gli istituti che
continuano a preferire lo sportello Bce, pur remunerato solo
allo 0,25%, piuttosto che prestarsi fondi tra loro a tassi
piu' elevati.
