Buonasera a tutti.
Poichè non ho ancora ricevuto l'accredito della cedola semestrale sul bond BES 8.500 Perp '15 MTN (PTESSMOM0016), ex BESI ed ora in capo ad Haitong Bank, cedola che doveva essere pagata in data 20.04, ho scritto all'IR di Haitong Bank.
Ecco la sua risposta in cui si evince chiaramente che a fronte dello scatto di un trigger event relativamente ad una condizione negativa di conto economico il pagamento della suddetta cedola è stato cancellato (evento previsto dal prospetto).
Purtroppo il bond è non-cumulativo. Mi pare che il prezzo del titolo non abbia tuttavia subito particolari scossoni....Speriamo che riprendano a pagare il più presto possibile.

Regarding Haitong Bank’s Undated Subordinated Notes (ISIN PTESSMOM0016) there was an interest cancellation event under the terms and conditions of that issue.
Under those terms and conditions, the issuer (Haitong Bank) has been prevented from making any interest payment under the notes. That was due to the fact that the bank has registered a net loss of Eur140,541 thousand (individual accounts) / Eur 136,181 thousand (consolidated accounts).
The insufficiency of distributable funds triggered this interest cancellation.
In the current European regulatory framework, banks are strongly scrutinised by regulators to meet these terms and conditions with respect to distributable funds as these instruments qualify for capital ratios.
Haitong Bank’s management team is strongly committed to the ongoing restructuring aiming at achieving again positive results in the near future. It is important to highlight the strong shareholder support through several capital increases in 2017, totalling Eur419 million.
